Gerardo received his B.S. and M.S in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from Politecnico di Milano in 2019 and 2021, respectively. For his master thesis he worked under Dr. Fabio Di Fonzo and Professor Matteo Zago on the development of a high surface area carbon electrode for Vanadium redox flow battery. At the Brushett Lab, he will focus on the synthesis and characterization of electrodes for polysulfides based redox flow batteries. In his free time, Gerardo enjoys basketball, sailing and snowboarding.
