Laura Pastor Muñoz

Laura Pastor Muñoz

Visting Student

Laura is from Guadalajara, Spain, and she received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Alcala de Henares, followed by a Master's in Organic Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid. During her studies, she worked under the guidance of Dr. Jose Luis Chiara on the synthesis and functionalization of new diazo-BODIPY dyes. Currently, her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of new catholyte materials for Aqueous Organic Redox Flow Batteries, a project developed at CIC energiGUNE. Outside the lab, Laura enjoys playing soccer, boxing, and snowboarding.

Florian Gollmann

Florian Gollmann

Visiting Student

Florian is pursuing a master’s degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany and joined the Brushett group as a visiting student in October 2024. During his academics, Florian worked in the group of Prof. Hubert A. Gasteiger, where he investigated Pt-alloy cathode catalysts in PEM fuel cells for heavy duty vehicle applications. In the Brushett group, Florian will be working on non-aqueous electrochemical carbon dioxide separation. Outside of the lab, Florian enjoys road cycling, sailing, and skiing.
