Nicola Poli

Nicola Poli completed his PhD in Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua in March 2023, focusing his research on flow batteries. He previously earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2019. During his PhD, Nicola undertook a six-month internship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (Pfinztal, Germany), concentrating on the regeneration of vanadium flow batteries. He has authored eight scientific papers in high-impact international journals.

He is also a co-founder of E-Storage Engineering, a UNIPD spinoff established in 2022, which provides consultancy services in energy storage technologies. In addition to his academic and professional work, Nicola has been actively involved in volunteering in his hometown, where he founded an association (called “Battito”) dedicated to organizing cultural events.
